How To Take Care of Library Books

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBC8HKSsK78

As a Media Coordinator it is my  responsibility to teach the students how to take care of the Library Books.  I use this video for grades k-2. It's fun for them.  They listened to the video and laughed. Even though they thought it was funny the student learned from it.. The students love to explain the things they  thought were done wrong and how to make it right. They enjoyed watching the video and they learned at the same time.

Blogging about Blogs

There is a new blogger in town. It's me. This is my first time. Why should teachers and students blog? It was the first question that came to mind as I researched blogging. After reading I thought what a great way to communicate and collaborate.  We are always trying to find something that will tag into our students creativity,  improve their writing skills, and let them express themselves. Blogging will help the teacher reach the student who does not like to use his or her voice but would rather write. It will also help to engage the students who would otherwise disturb the class. Students will share blogs and gain competence in his or herself. They  can take pictures and blog where ever they are. They may receive comment from anywhere. Let's face it if it can be done electronically our students love it. Technology has open the world up to many things for them and us. It is best that we use it or the students will leave us behind. Teacher can give homework assignments, classwork and blog about it all.
